Our Binchotan can be re-used and the best way to do this is by using a Ceramic Extinguishing Pot to quickly cut off the Oxygen. The binchotan will cool down within 5/10 mins and when repeated, can be used over and over again. Try not fill the pot more than half way. Be aware that the pot will get hot once the binchotan is placed into the pot so we advise placing onto a board or similar to avoid potential damage to the table or surface.
Using this method is extremely economical and re-lighting the binchotan is also easier.
Made in South Africa these are our first branded Binchotan Extinguishing pots.

Beautiful and effective
There is something very attractive about the shape of the pot - Japanese elegance! And it does what it sets out to do. Let’s face it, the Binchotan charcoal is not cheap, but being able to recycle it a bit helps. I’m very happy with my purchase.
